This last weekend we purchased a Nintendo Wii! They are really hard to find, and Best Buy had 10 come in. Jordan managed to beat a pack of little children to where the Wii's were and got one first. Should we feel guilty about this?
If you haven't tried one of these yet, you must. It has a wireless remote control paddle that can be used as a tennis racket, golf club, baseball bat, ect. You have to make sure that you have empty space around you, because you could be dangerous. Jordan laughs at me because I get way into the tennis.
We are both suffering from "Wii arm." It's that feeling you get when you exercise muscles that you haven't used for a long time. But, with a little (a wii more) practice, it should go away. And hopefully I still get other things done in the house!

To my Dad on his 50th Birthday
Dad,
Happy Birthday! I hope that you had a great day, and enjoy your fifties! I am so sorry that I could not be with you today. I miss you so much.
Thank you for all you have done for me. I could not have asked for a better father. And a better Grandfather for my children.
I love you!
Elaine
PS-Did you notice that I was nice and didn't tease you about your old age?!!

Called to Serve
My brother Andy(the youngest of my three younger brothers)received his mission call this week. He is going to serve in...Munich! The Munich Germany/Austria Mission!! He was really hoping to get called to Germany, so he is very excited.
The post office where my family lives(in Magna, UT) does something really neat when people get their mission calls. Instead of having to wait for your mail to be delivered to your home, the post office will call you to tell you that your mission call has arrived, and you can come pick it up. They called Andy at six in the morning. And it was picked up immediately.
I am so excited for you Andy, and I pray that the Lord watches over you while you serve Him.

Gone Fishin'
We took the boys fishing for the first time on Friday. Jordan has a friend with a large piece of property in the country. It has a great fishing pond. Lots of bass. And they were biting really well. At first, the fish really freaked Mason and Miles out. Whenever Jordan caught a fish, he would try to get the boys to come help him, but they would run away shrieking! Eventually, they got over their fears and would allow us to take their pictures with the fish. I even caught three and took the last one off the hook all by myself and put it back in the water.
The boys also got to ride a quad, and a backhoe that Kurt(Jordan's friend) owns. Even when you couldn't see them, you could hear them shrieking with delight. Kurt taught them to say'"Yee Haw! Ride em cowboy!" One of Mason's favorite parts of the trip was getting to pee outside for the first time. (What funny things little boys get excited about!)

Mason's Imagination. No, Make that Graduation
Mason and I had the following conversation this week:
Mason-Mom, Wednesday is my preschool imagination.
Me-You mean graduation.
Mason-Yeah, imaguation.
Me-No, GRAduation.
Mason-Gladulation.
Me-Graduation.
Mason-Gradunation.
That's not exactly how it went, but you get the idea! And he got it eventually! Anyways, Wednesday night was Mason's preschool graduation. It went very well, even though it was hotter than Haites in the gym. Mason was so cute, and did a very good job. The kids sang some cute songs, until they sang one that the parents had to participate in too. I was good while we had to put our thumbs up, our elbow's back, our legs apart. But after we had to stick out our bums, put our knees together, close our eyes, and stick out our tongues, I was outta there! Don't you ever feel when you are in those situations that the whole room is watching you to see if you are participating?
Mason had a great time in Mrs. Grabow's class this year, and I am very grateful to her and Miss Jen for all the work they did with Mason. Now he just has one more week of his afternoon class, and then the next stop is Kindergarten!
