Extreme Makeover in Holt airing this Sunday!
The episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition that they filmed in Holt will be on ABC this Sunday. If you watch, you might catch a glimpse of yours truly, my sister in Law Lindsey, and Kent Gleason. We were there for the demolition scene.
Vance's big boy bed
Little did I know that when I put Vance down for his nap on Friday, it would be my last time putting one of my babies in a crib to sleep. Jordan decided on Saturday morning that it was time for the bars to come down. Vance could already climb out of the crib like a pro, so they needed to come down anyways so he woundn't get hurt.
He's done really well in his big boy bed. I put this moment off for so long, because I was afraid it would totally ruin nap time, but so far so good! Next stop, potty training! Okay, not quite yet. But hopefully before he's three. My goal is to have it done by the time I'm 30. That gives me 11 months. We'll see how it goes. :)

Missing something?
I found a pair of women's undies today, while folding my boys clothes. And... they are not mine. I have no clue how these have made it into my house. No, Jordan does not have a girlfriend on the side, so don't even go there. :)
So, is anyone missing their thong?
A great night with the girls and TWILIGHT!!
Saturday night a big group of us girls went out to dinner and saw the Twilight movie. It was sooooo much fun!! We all met at Johnny Rockets for our Twilight themed evening. We had a Twilight quiz, which Melisa won(I knew you would, Melisa!), and we had a Twilight T-shirt contest. Julie won that prize. Her shirt was awesome!

Me, Julie and Charity(click on this picture to read Julie's shirt!)
Jenn, Jeannette, and Holli. Jeannette drove up all the way from Milford to go with us. Thanks for all your help putting this all together, Jeannette!!
All 11 of us. I was so glad we had such a good turnout!
As for the movie itself, I thought it was okay. There were a few parts that I didn't like how they were done, and I thought it was a bit cheesy(but the books are too, so what can you expect.) Some of the acting wasn't too hot, and the special effects were not top notch. But, that being said, I did enjoy it, and plan on going back sometime soon to watch it with Jordan. And they just confirmed that Twilight made enough money to justify New Moon, so now I still have something else to look forward too!

Have I mentioned that my husband is awesome?
As you can tell from my previous post, I am having some difficulties with Vance, and just with kids in general. So, the morning after I had that bad night with Vance, Jordan called me while he was at work, and suggested that the boys and I go get some lunch, and visit a park. He said he might be good to have a nice time with the kids. I thought he was really sweet for making that suggestion. Turns out he was just trying to be sneaky!
I did take the boys out for lunch, but decided it was too cold (for me anyways, I'm such a wimp!) to play outside. So we just headed for home. As we turned onto our street, I saw a huge truck in our driveway. A huge truck from a local furniture store. And when I entered the house, I found a beautiful new table waiting for me! Yea!! Jordan was kind of mad that I came home early and ruined the surprise, but it was definitely a surprise to me. And one of the best anniversary gifts I have ever received! I love you, Jordan. And thank you for the last nine wonderful years!

I need parental advice! And good sleep
So it's one o'clock in the morning, and I'm sitting here at the computer blogging and Vance is lying on the floor beside my chair crying. And I don't know what to do with him. He will not sleep through the night. What he wants is for me to get him out of bed and hold him, and to fall asleep in the chair with him. Every night. And if I try to put him back in his crib, he screams and screams. I am trying real hard not to get Jordan involved in this, because he works a dangerous job, and he needs to get his sleep. But some nights, Jordan is the only one to get him to sleep. For a couple nights, he would go back to sleep after a very stern talking to from me, but now that is not working.
I am now trying the no mister nice guy approach. I am not going to hug and cuddle him which he wants, and that is why he is lying on the floor crying. I want him to realize that getting up with mom in the middle of the night is not fun, and he should just stay in bed and leave me alone.
I am beyond frustrated right now. He is two years old! Any advice for a mother who is about to lose her sanity????

This years costumes
Trick or Treating
We had a great time trick or treating Halloween night. The weather was absolutely perfect. We didn't even need jackets. It was so nice.
I had had a bad day with Vance, and was seriously considering not taking him with us. But Jordan had the idea to keep him in the wagon. That worked perfect! He just lounged in there and watched his brothers for the longest time. Eventually he decided that he had to join in the fun. He was sooooo cute to watch.
Miles was hilarious! He was so excited and ran from house to house. He was going to fast and at one point ended up taking a big spill. After a few minutes of comforting, he was about ready to go. As we approached the next house, a lady was waiting for us, band-aid in hand. I thought that was so nice. And Miles was happy after that because band-aids make everything better!
Cute trick or treaters!
That is one comfy monkey!
The back of the monkey
He's so cute!
Mason's 7th Birthday
Mason had his seventh birthday last week. He's at that age were he waits with baited breath for his birthday to arrive. I went to wake up up for school on the special day, and he literally
bounded out of bed! He had a great day, and enjoyed having all four grandparents and his Aunt Lindsey over for the birthday celebration. We love you Mason!!
Mason's birthday wish came true in this picture. He got Mario Kart.
Superman Cake
Vance really liked the cake!
