Our first visit from the toothfairy

Mason lost his first tooth last night. It has been
loose for a long time, and Jordan really wanted to
yank that puppy out! But Mason won't let his dad get near it long enough to try. He was downstairs watching TV, when all of of sudden he came upstairs yelling, "Mom! Dad! I did it!!!"
He pulled the thing out all by himself. He was so proud!

We took the boys bowling for the first time as a family on Saturday. That was quite the adventure! We had a good time though.

We had originally paid for two games. We quickly learned if we did that, we might stilll be there the following morning. :) I have posted a couple videos to demonstate the lack of speed these boys bowled with. And, actually, the speed of the ball in the videos is decent compared to other times. There were some occasions when a snail could have beat the ball to the pins!

Gordon B. Hinckley

We are very sad to hear of the passing of our prophet, Gordon B. Hinckley. He truely was a man of God, and a great example to the members of the church.
I am grateful for all that he did for the church. He was so good at reaching out to people of other faiths, and stessing tolerence to the people of the church. He was admired not only by church members, but countless others as well.
We will miss him. But, can you imagine the reunion on the other side of the veil? What a happy occasion!

Well, at least there was in the Bryson household. The Greenbay Packers lost to the New York Giants, and will not be going to the Superbowl. Sorry, Dad. Sorry Steven.

So Many Kids!

While we were in Utah, the boys and I visited regularly with my good friends from high school, Miriam, LeRoyne and Sarah. This is a picture of all 12 of our kids!

Utah Trip

We had a very good time on our trip to Utah. It was so nice to see people that we don't get to see very often. We spent Christmas Eve and New Years Eve with the Rimmasch family(my mom's side of the family.) We also had to make an extra trip to Uncle Kory's house because I learned they had Guitar Hero, which I had never tried before. I was hooked immediately! I want to get that game as soon as possible!
We saw lots of friends, and we even saw some friends that we knew from Michigan. The Clark's, the Humpherys, and the Dahle's(Who were visiting from St. Louis.).
I got to go skiing, which was one of my priorities while I was there. I went with my brother Chris's almost-fiancee Chantelle(we're just waiting for the proposal), and had a good time getting to know her.
We also got to eat at all of our favorite places in Salt Lake. Rodizio's, California Pizza Kitchen, Hot Dog on a Stick, Teriyaki Stix, the Grub Box, Ken's Sandwich Shop. I had some Dunford Donuts from 7-11. Jordan made it to the La Caille Noodle House. And I got a Cinnabon at the airport, which completed my SLC food journey.
Jordan got to go to four Utah Jazz games, and I attended the last one with him. That was a blast. My parents were awesome, because they were so willing to watch the boys so we could go do things. Thanks to them and Uncle Steven. The boys loved watching him play Zelda.
We got to talk to Andy on Christmas Day. He is serving a mission in Germany, and seems to be loving every minute of it. It was really nice to talk to him. We sure missed having him there. But, he did leave some stick figure drawings around the house, so we had reminders of him. :)

This Superman caused quite a commotion on Christmas morning. It is actually Mason's. Miles had received a Batman just like it minutes earlier, and LOVED it. Until Mason got Superman. Miles no longer liked Batman, and quickly took over Superman. Grandma and Grandpa ended up going to Toys R Us the next day so they could get Miles a Superman of his own.

Vance ending up having his own Christmas morning. He slept VERY bad the night before, and in the morning we decided to let him sleep in.

Tragedy!

As you can see from the above pictures, Vance has the cutest, most adorable curly hair. I absolutely love it. I think it is the best thing ever. He got compliments about it every where we went. Until...

I went to the movies with my mom and dad, and Jordan watched the boys. When I returned, I walked into the living room to find Vance sitting with his dad. And all of his beloved curls were GONE! Jordan, my dear husband, had buzzed Vance's head! I was soooooo upset. I had to go to another room and cry. Then half and hour later, I had to go on a double date with Jordan and our friends Sarah and Aaron. I could hardly talk to Jordan the whole night long. It really put a damper on things. I asked him while we were out if he had saved ANY of those curls. No. But my dad, bless him, was thoughtful enough to retrieve some of the hair from the trash can. Now I have some hair that I can put in his scrapbook.

I'm okay now, and I still think that Vance is as adorable as ever, but I truly was in mourning for a couple days over his lost hair. Oh, and eventually I started to talk to Jordan again. :)

The boys found their uncles boxing gloves in Grandma's basement. For the first time, they got approval from Mom and Dad to throw a couple punches at each other. They had a great time. And they really enjoyed the chance to beat up Dad!

Home Sweet Home!

We are home after a wonderful vacation to Utah. I will make a nice long post about our trip sometime in the next couple of days. Right now I am going to sit at home and relax after a very long and crazy day of traveling. Oh, and wait for our luggage to arrive at our home, since it didn't arrive with us at the airport last night.
