A great night with the girls and TWILIGHT!!

Saturday night a big group of us girls went out to dinner and saw the Twilight movie.  It was sooooo much fun!!  We all met at Johnny Rockets for our Twilight themed evening.  We had a Twilight quiz, which Melisa won(I knew you would, Melisa!), and we had a Twilight T-shirt contest.  Julie won that prize.  Her shirt was awesome!

Me, Julie and Charity(click on this picture to read Julie's shirt!)
Jenn, Jeannette, and Holli.  Jeannette drove up all the way from Milford to go with us.  Thanks for all your help putting this all together, Jeannette!!
All 11 of us.  I was so glad we had such a good turnout!

As for the movie itself, I thought it was okay.  There were a few parts that I didn't like how they were done, and I thought it was a bit cheesy(but the books are too, so what can you expect.)  Some of the acting wasn't too hot, and the special effects were not top notch.  But, that being said, I did enjoy it, and plan on going back sometime soon to watch it with Jordan. And they just confirmed that Twilight made enough money to justify New Moon, so now I still have something else to look forward too!

That is quite a group of people. I went with 3 of my friends. It was fun. I thought the same about the movie. But I want to chat with you about it on the phone. I'll call you in a minute.

Looks fun. Even though I haven't read the books, I should have joined you guys anyway! Maybe for New Moon! =)

I personally loved the movie. I didn't go in thinking it was going to be just like the movie so I think I must have enjoyed it a lot more than some people. The only way I can like the Kiera Knightly P&P is to think, "hey, they only had 2 hours to work with." Otherwise I'd hate that adaptation (she did need a bra and a new hair dresser though, Kiera that is). I'm going to see it again tomorrow with Chris and I can't wait.

It must be a girls thing. Sandi loved it but I was not so impressed. It might have been the fact that there were 200 screaming teenagers and a particularly obnoxious set of teens in front of us. But hey what are ya gonna do?

I think a row of screaming teens in front of us would have added all the more to the charm! I was kinda disappointed there weren't any. Deanne, you should totally come next time. It was a really fun experience, though I agree, the acting was not what it could have been.

It almost felt like they were just quoting random bits from the book, but didn't really get the feel of it at all. I would be really interested to see what someone who DIDN'T read the book would have thought of the movie as just a movie.
