So, on Wednesday, Jordan came home from work, picked up Mason, and left again. He came back an hour later with Mason...and a puppy. An unauthorized puppy. The boys were thrilled. I was not. So, after much discussion, the dog was returned the next morning. I feel so bad, but a dog is just not something I can handle right now. Three young children are enough. The puppy really was very cute, and I have promised Jordan when the kids are a little older, we can get a dog then.
Since I was such a mean mom for not letting the dog stay, we decided to get fish. $120 dollars later, we have a tank with rocks in it. Isn't it lovely? I guess, for the benefit of the fish, you need to let the water sit for a couple days. On Saturday, we will go pick up two or three fish. The lady at the pet store said you have to introduce fish into the tank slowly. Our goal is to get five fish. I want to name them Gordan, Ilene, Nathan, Niles and Lance Giller. Oh, and we need some plants for the tank to hide all the lovely wires behind it. I thought fish would be pretty non-committal, but I guess we are in this for the long haul!
