I was going through some old pictures yesterday, when I found this picture of our first couch. I had forgotten how sweet it was! Who doesn't want a 70's velvet sofa? (You might have to click on the picture to view the couch in all it's glory.)
There's something about the "first couch" Ours we liked to call the sports-fanatic-couch, or in better terms, you-would-never-have-to-get-up-for-anything-except-go-to-the-bathroom-couch. It had a fold down center piece which you could keep a cup in, and it also had a telephone inside the armrest. And it reclined on both sides! We put it up for sale thinking nobody would buy it, and we got calls within 10 minutes of posting!! Sean was very sad to see it go. I was elated to get rid of the teal green monster!!

Wow that is retro! Isn't that what they call it now?
It was pretty comfortable. That's all that matters.
