Time Out For Women

This last weekend I had the awesome experience of attending a conference called Time Out for Women. It is held by Deseret Book for LDS women. It was a great chance to get away and have some girl time! This event was held in Chicago, and a bunch(about 16 of us) of ladies from the ward were able to go. I had never been to Chicago before, so I was really excited to see that. The conference was held by the O'Hare Airport, which is about 10 minutes away from the city.
They had some really amazing speakers and musicians at TOFW. Some of the speakers were: Elia Gourgouris- He is a relationship specialist, and a nationally known speaker. I really enjoyed
his talk. And I enjoyed his Greek accent!
Chieko Okazaki- She served in the as a counselor in the Relief Society Presidency. I think she is
in her 80's. She was so cute! She was such a fun speaker.
Merrilee Boyack
Carolyn Rasmus
Dean Hughes- He's written many popular LDS books
Camille Fronk Olson
Jane Clayson Johnson-She used to be an anchor on The CBS Early show, and worked for ABC.

The musical performers were Cherie Call, Hillary Weeks, and Michael McLean. They were all amazing. Especially Michael McLean(see next post.).

This was such a good chance to get to now some of the ladies from the ward. I really had fun with them. The best part was staying up late to play games. (Only until Midnight thought. Funny how that's really late to me now! What an old lady I'm becoming! We did have to get up a six in the morning though). Most of us went to a place called Smoque in Chicago for dinner. Jordan would never forgive me if I went to Chicago and didn't go there! He saw a special about this place on the Food Network, and has been dying to go there. So, I went for him. :) They serve barbecue, and it was fantastic! Thanks to all the ladies for putting up with the chaos it took to actually get there!
