Note to self: check pockets before doing wash

I didn't check all of the pockets before drying a load of jeans, and when I opened the dryer,  a leaking pen fell out.  Luckily(thanks heavens!) the laundry was mostly alright.  No major damage.  The dryer, however, sustained massive casualties.   And they are there to stay.

That's the pits. When it happened to us it got on just about all our clothes. At least it was an excuse to go shopping. =)

That's a shame! I always forget to check pockets and have ruined tons of clothes. I'm glad most of yours are okay. Have you tried wiping the drier down with hairspray? That took Sharpie marks off of mine.

ya...hairspray worked when that happened to my dryer too

My Dryer looks just like that. I never tried hairspray. But some did get on clothes for a couple of dryer loads. So do dark towels and jeans first so nothing light gets pen marks on it. Sorry what a mess.

Ugh! Worst thing ever when some foreign object gets in the dryer. I've found all sorts of things there. I think the worst so far has been pen and chap stick (grease spots on all the clothes). Yuck! Have fun replacing the clothes ;)

Oh yeah! I remember my internet went down for the first time when I was trying to leave a comment on this post.

I wish I could say that I only made this mistake one time, but I'd be lying...
