Where is everyone???????
Due to some error, Jordan was still on call while we were gone. And sure enough, at 2 AM in the morning, he got called to CMU, which was two hours away. Poor Jordan. And this left me and the boys all alone in this big camp ground. That was kind of nerve racking. To make it worse, as Jordan was leaving, we heard a pack of dogs(or wolves?)howling somewhere in the area. I was so sure that the boys and I were going to be attacked in the middle of the night by a pack of rabid dogs. Well, thank goodness that didn't happen. We were attacked by a different source...
This is a picture of the really cool tent we bought on Ebay last year. There's one big problem with it though. When you connect the two small tents to the big one, there are some gaps that don't zip up. So in the morning when the boys and I woke up, we found ourselves in the company of many daddy long leg spiders. For some reason I can't get this picture to post right, so you can't click on it to see the spiders in all the long legged glory. I'm sure you get the idea though. Nasty!!!!

Jordan got back to camp around 11:00 in the morning. For lunch, we decided since we were so close to Ann Arbor that we should go to the California Pizza Kitchen(Yummmmmmm). How's that for roughing it? :)
Miles fell asleep on the drive to Ann Arbor.
By the time we got back from lunch at 2:00 we finally had some fellow campers. The boys and I went to the beach while Jordan took a much needed nap. Then we all went out on the kayaks together. Next I took the boys back to the beach while I waited for a turn on the bishops boat, and this is where the day took a turn for the worse. Miles had an accident, and by the time that was cleaned up, it was too late to ride the boat. We were all tired, the boys did NOT want to go back into the spider infested tent, so we made the decision not to stay the night and just go home. I was sorry that we missed out on all the fun, but it was nice to sleep in my nice comfy bed.
This is a picture of Miles on Saturday morning. He always swells alot when he get mosquito bites, and he must have gotten one right by the eye. Poor kid. He was not happy!

I'm sorry Thursday night was such a bummer!
We woke up with 15 (yes, I counted) daddy long legs inbetween our tent and the cover. Ugh. It looked like they were in there with us! It looks like you had about that many too!
I was thinking that tent looked awesome, like I might have to try to get one, until you mentioned the spiders! Never mind, but that does look like one cool tent!
We've never been to California Pizza Kitchen so I looked up the menu. Looks like we'll have to make another trip to Ann Arbor at some point!
Cindi

Oh...poor Miles! You have such a good attitude about things. Seriously! I'm always in awe of the amount of patience you have:) It looks like you had a lot of fun!! Miss you!
