Mourning the rapid decline of my 20's

Today is my 29th birthday.  How did this happen???  Do you remember when you were a kid, and all you wanted to be was a grown up, and it took for-ev-er?   And then when you finally become an adult, time goes by in a flash?? Next thing you know, I'll be pushing forty!
Okay, off my soapbox now.  Sorry, I needed to rant for a second.  :)
It was a very nice day, and to make it even better, my parents are here.  They are visiting from Utah, and will be here for two weeks.  It is good to have them around.  It's will also be nice to have them here for Mason's birthday and Halloween.  Hopefully my kids don't wear them out too much!  Mason is already dreading their departure.  Tonight during family prayer, he prayed for Grandma and Grandpa not to go.  This might get interesting...

Happy birthday, sweetie! Enjoy your last 20! ;) I skipped 29 and just told everyone I was 30 for 2 years. I got tired of people teasing me about being almost 30. For some reason, when you are 30 they stop teasing. Odd. Have fun with your family!

Happy, happy birthday! I hope you got to do some shopping and that you found an extra-hot pair of sexy, I'm-still-a-smokin'-twenty-something pair of shoes! :) Even when you are 40, you'll still be a babe and the coolest mom on the street, so you've got nothing to worry about. I hpe you have a grand time with your parents. Say hi to your cute boys for us (Amber told me she wants to "take a present to Miles" today...totally random, but cute!). I miss you lots!

Happy Birthday! Glucklich Geburtstag! Buon Compleanno!
Oh...I remember way back when you were just a wee 28 year old...Someday you'll be as old as me. Now if only I could stay at this age so I can welcome you properly but I'm afraid I keep getting older too. When I reach 40, I'm going to stop counting. The lady at the DMV is just going to have guess at my age.

Elaine, I hope you had a wonderful birthday! You deserve it. I'm trying to find a good time to have you guys over; any time work better for you? I really want to get to know you better, and I think I'll have a better chance to in the very near future!

Yes 30 is scary for me too.

Happy Birthday! I hope you had a great day! We're now the same age. I think I knew that already but forgot since you have an older kid. Enjoy your parents' visit.

Happy Birthday Elaine! I'm so sorry I missed it. I kept thinking that there was something on that day. I couldn't figure out what it was. Now I know. Love ya. I'm glad you have so many awesome friends. I've never had 10 comments before.

Happy Happy Birthday Elaine! It's easier just telling people you're in your 20's:) 30 seems like a big hurdle to jump, but every mom I know who is in this age group is so stinkin' fun and cool! I hope I can be like that when I hit the 30 mark in a year and a half!
